The hummingbird is painted on by hand and later, after the glaze firing, individual contours and highlights are gilded with real gold (22 ct.) and fired in a third firing. The flower of life inside and the Agnihotra ash inside make it a pleasure to drink from. The Agnihotra ash is contained in the clay and also in the glaze.
