The carving is by Wayan Mardana ( and the tradition has been passed down in his family for many hundreds of years) . Cows are sacred in Balinese Hinduism. When the cow dies, she is buried for three years, then exhumed and her bones are cleaned and carved. Materials: Cow Bone, Sterling silver, Fine Silver, & 18K Yellow gold. Size
