Purpose
This 3 storey self build property was designed with an open plan ground floor kitchen/living area. As a result, additional fire safety measures are required in order to comply with building regulations. Automist® fire suppression was installed in order to satisfy this requirement.
Approach
Following a thorough site survey of the property in the early stages of the build, Firemist produced a full design and fixed quotation for the installation of the Automist® system.
Firemist carried out the installation of the electrical supply and installation of all Automist® hoses and cables at the first fix stage of the project. The project plumbing contractor provided a mains cold water supply to the pump location.
Once the property was nearing completion, Firemist carried out the second fix and commission of the Automist® system.
The unique commissioning process of the Automist® system verifies the function of all water mist nozzles by simulating an activation and verifying pump pressures and water delivery.
Outcome
This self build project in Melton Mowbray is now complete and has been signed off by building control. All installation work was carried out to our high standards.
